Caitlyn graduated with Bachelor of Science degree with honors in the field of Child and Family Studies in 2018 from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, ULL. Ms. Mayer is currently a student at Loyola University New Orleans’ College of Law.
Ms. Mayer has been a part-time law clerk for Bohannan & Rogers, LLC since 2014, and is now working part-time for both, Bohannan & Rogers, LLC and The Mediation Clinic of Louisiana.
During her undergraduate years, she worked part-time as a legal assistant for Jason E. Fontenot, APLC, in Lafayette, Louisiana. Working with Mr. Fontenot, Ms. Mayer learned a great deal about Personal Injury Law and expanded her knowledge about the legal profession.
She also interned with Chez Hope, Inc. a non-profit Family Violence and Crisis Center, which serves St. Mary, Assumption, Iberia, and St. Martin Parishes. During her internship with Chez Hope, Ms. Mayer gave multiple presentations to Elementary schools and High schools within the parishes about domestic violence, dating violence, bullying, etc. She worked closely with the center organizing vigils and community outreach events. She spent a great deal of time networking within the community, and she had the privilege of representing Chez Hope on the board for the Sherriff’s Community Outreach Committee in St. Martinville, Louisiana.
Ms. Mayer was born and raised in the suburbs of New Orleans, and could not imagine living in a more thrilling and enchanting place. She is an alumnus of Mount Carmel Academy, MCA. She graduated from MCA in 2014 as a butterfly! Ms. Mayer’s pride and joy reside in her family and her precious dog, Nella. Her favorite pastimes are spending time with her large, extended family, taking her dog, Nella, to the park, and expanding her knowledge through reading.
